Art Specifications:

General Art Specs

Prices are based upon receiving computer generated artwork, print-ready, to size and with correct bleed allowances, supplied in digital format. Any resizing, retouching, colorizing, typesetting, or bringing supplied artwork to specs may incur art charges at $50.00(X) per hour for changes to art requiring more than our 30 minutes. You will be advised of any charges before production. All artwork MUST be proofed and approved before order goes into production. Please note that a PDF proof will be low-res, for placement only and the colors on your RGB color monitor may not look the same as the colors on the CMYK-printed (four color process) finished product.

Email artwork to size to: orders@camelotline.com. Please compress large files and send as a zip or stuffit file - limit file size to 150MB, or provide an FTP site from which we can download your art. Please include your company name and purchase order in the subject line, and make sure your file name contains either your company name or P.O. number. If unable to email artwork, it may also be sent on a CD.

Retention: Files will be kept for two years after shipment. New art files required after two years.

Preferred File Formats

The following are art file formats are preferred, but we may be able to accept other file formats. We will advise if there is a problem with your file.

•Adobe Illustrator .eps or .ai file with fonts converted to outlines.
•Adobe Photoshop .tif or .psd or .jpg file saved at 600 dpi or higher (greyscale at 300-600 dpi)
•Editable press-quality PDF file (please convert fonts to vector before exporting to pdf if possible).

Note: We do not recommend setting type in Photoshop, as files may result in fuzzy or jagged edges.

Digital Art Requirements

If your image is to bleed off the edge of the finished item, provide at least 3/32” of bleed area allowance. All type must be 3/32” in from the item edge to accommodate cutting and die cutting tolerances. Convert fonts to curves or outlines if possible (vector art that can no longer be edited as text). If this is not possible, please provide all screen and printer fonts used in the document.

Printing

Standard Line items are printed in CMYK four color process. Colors are generated by mixing the four basic process colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. Artwork that is sent with PMS color indications will be converted to four color process as shown below. Please note that four color process will not generate a perfect PMS color match, but the closest pleasing match will be formulated. If an exact Pantone Color Match is needed, please contact factory for availability and price.
